HW:Chapter 8 review

I think that Chapter 8 was a very intresting chapter. Now it starts to get good becuase now Winston and Julia will be doing all these jobs and actually going against the party in any way possible. I think that it is very noble of Winston and Julia to just put their lives on the line for the BrotherHood. I am also surprised that the members of the brotherhood have so many resoures to be able to reconstruct people's faces and change them so much. Another thing that was stated in the chapter was that it is not an organization but a group of people slowing putting in effort to change the future. I believe this to be very much true, because the menbers know that they are going to die but somehow still go on fighting and changing themselves to hurt the Party in anyway possible just with the hope of making the future brighter.

HW:Chapter 6 Review

In chapter 6 O'Brien finally makes contact with Winston. I think that this is abad mistake by O'Brien to just show the address and them to talk just right in front of the telescreen. However I also found O'Brien to very samrt considering he made it seem innocent by bringing up the dictonary and how he should go to his house and pick it up.The thing that i am thinking about is that by O'Brien doing it out in the open it will trick the police into thinking it is just a meeting of comrades and not care. Winston surprises me by just talking to somebody he has no evidence is on his side besides a gut feeling, like right now O'Brien could betray him and he wouldn't suspect it.

HW:Chapter 5 Response

I think that Chpater5 was boring. It has too much talking and explanation. At the very beginning of the chapter it talks about Syme getting vaporized and nothing else. Like they don't explain it at all. I tihnk he got vaporized because they found out he was too smart and could easily rebel against the party. Then it went into Winston and Julia once again going to that room above Mr. Charrington's shop. So boring at this point. Goes on and on with the way Winston talks to Mr.Charrington and him trying to explain to Julia about The Party and then he starts insulting her saying "You're only a rebel from the waist down". Winston also states that the people do not know what is going on adn don't really care to look for answers which is why The Party is so successful.

Political Act

I think that Winston means that when him and Julia have sex it is rebellion. So what I'm trying to say is like Winston is another political party. When having sex with julia it is saying we will take down the Party and do it for everyones benefit just like they "do it" for their pleasure.

HW:Book review and thoughts

The book is alright but could be boring at times. Also in some parts it is very confusing. For example when he talks about his ex wife, then it jumps to him with his job. Loses me sometimes. The book is still good but sometimes i just don't feel like reading because its boring, that's why i read when i feel like it. Also the book sort of sets a dreary feeling like just a boring place with really no life. Then you have like in part 8 of chapter 1 when they get bombed which is when it gets good.I don't get how it went from being bombed to him having a girl fall in love with him. The book also have sort of a romatic feel now with all the love yet still maintains that fear as the theme. (ex:Winston even though he know the girl likes him he has to sneak around.)The book made me question more things then usally. I tend to think about everything when i have the time. Even though its getting to the lubby dubby stuff i think that Winston will end up getting caught and will get vaporized.Their is only one question i have which if he tries to rebel won't he get vaporized the moment he says something so how is he supposed to make a change.Aren't the people brainwashed so who's gonna believe him or remember him if they change the history so that he doesn't exist?
